Our Runaway Shanty is finally starting to look like a real house! Our contractors had to sacrifice additional hours to put in the German triple-pane windows since they required a different flashing and installation. But they look so good and just like in Germany they turn and tilt to the inside. If you want to know why, here’s the easy explanation: These windows seal better than the ones you slide!
Our house is wrapped and the Cedar trim board nailed into placed. We decided to use Cedar shingles for the siding and the gambrel roof is ready to be covered with standing seam metal, we just have to pick a color (it’s not as easy as it sounds!).
Here are some pictures…
those windows are insane!! Where do you get them or info on them?
🙂 We bought them from Intus Windows. You’ll find a link to the website in our “Cost” section. I think I also mentioned them in “Products & Services”.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for posting your tiny home journey! I’d been wondering if anyone made windows like these and lo and behold here they are. These will definitely be installed in my tiny home.
My only concern is are they easy to replace/repair if they break?
Oh, thank you for following us! 🙂 We’re happy you are considering the same windows! Actually, they are a little different to install so I don’t know how a repair would look like. We didn’t put them in, our builders did, but if you really want to know I can give you the contact of the rep we worked with when we ordered our windows.
